President Xu Yongmo presided over the meeting, and Zeng Qingdong, executive deputy secretary-general of the association, gave a ten-year review and outlook report on the PCCP industry. By 2016, my country's PCCP industry had a history of 27 years. PCCP products have been widely used in engineering construction and have developed rapidly in the past ten years, achieving considerable results:

1. It greatly meets the requirements of urban drinking water and water supply projects, circulating water pipeline projects of large thermal power plants and nuclear power plants, and large drainage and sewage pipeline projects. It is especially suitable for laying high pressure, large diameter, and long-distance water pipeline projects. Mainly reflected in: PCCP structural design and manufacturing, quality control, and standard implementation have reached the international leading level; the South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Route Project has successfully solved the key technical issues of safety and quality control of ultra-large-diameter PCCP structures; the manufacturing capacity of special equipment and the level of complete sets of equipment have increased significantly, all of which have been domestically produced, and complete sets of equipment have been exported.

2. The capitalization operation strength of large-scale enterprises has been greatly enhanced, and cross-regional development has been implemented to dominate the industry competition pattern. The industry is highly concentrated. In 2013, 2014, and 2015, the top ten industries accounted for 80%, 80%, and 79% of the country's total output respectively, and the Matthai effect is obvious; five companies have successively entered the capital market through public issuance of stocks, and their competitive advantages have been further enhanced; large-scale enterprises implement cross-regional strategies; competition levels are obvious, and large-scale enterprises have significant competitive advantages and outstanding status.

"Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" Development Outlook: From the perspective of the policy environment, the future demand of the PCCP industry is stable and the industry prospects are promising. 2016 is the first year of the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan”. “What direction of development should we adhere to” is a proposition that the entire industry is thinking about and paying attention to. The new concept of "innovation, coordination, green, openness, and sharing" proposed by the Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee contains rich connotations and wisdom. The Central Economic Work Conference held at the end of last year proposed important measures to "cut overcapacity, reduce inventory, deleverage, reduce costs, and make up for shortcomings." These measures undoubtedly have a clear overall view and strong pertinence. The three superpositions of the growth speed shifting period, the structural adjustment pain period, and the digestion period of the previous stimulus policies have caused our country's economy to face a complex situation that has been rare in recent years. However, we must have sufficient reasons to believe that the central government’s goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects by 2020 and doubling GDP based on 2010 will definitely be achieved, which provides the industry with huge development prospects and guarantees. Infrastructure construction and new urbanization will bring foreseeable new opportunities for the development of the industry.

Chairman Xu Yongmo analyzed the economic performance of the building materials industry in the first quarter. The economic downward trend of the building materials industry has not eased, but the overall trend is optimistic. Since March, policy effects have taken effect, the market has begun to pick up, prices have stabilized, the overall production growth has stopped falling, investment growth has begun to pick up, and comprehensive pipe corridors have begun to truly enter the implementation stage.

Subsequently, participating entrepreneurs discussed related issues such as the development of the PCCP industry, opinions and suggestions on policies and association work; the industry’s 13th Five-Year Development Plan; the establishment of the PCCP Standards and Quality Alliance; and the Belt and Road Initiative for global development.

The PCCP industry market has begun to pick up after experiencing a trough period, but there are still problems in the industry. With issues such as overcapacity and fierce competition, we hope that industry companies can work together to enhance the industry's image, continuously improve product quality, and achieve the goal of eliminating backwardness and leading industry development through innovation and product upgrading. Going global is an important issue that PCCP companies need to consider, and it is also a way for companies to develop sustainably.

The impact of the project construction cycle, the national large-scale project construction cycle is very long; currently due to the downturn in steel prices, ball mill pipes and other other Other steel pipes have a great impact on PCCP pipes, and the competition is very fierce, but the downturn in steel prices should be a period of time; the automation upgrade of PCCP equipment is also very important, and environmental issues, especially the solution to noise problems, must be considered; the industry should publicize PCCP products more so that owners can truly and correctly understand the advantages of PCCP products.

The association will join forces with experts in water conservancy, municipal administration and other fields to make an investigation report on PCCP products and submit it to mainstream design institutes to promote PCCP products and let the industry know about PCCP products. Characteristics and advantages; Regarding the transformation and upgrading of enterprises, Chairman Xu pointed out that enterprises can strengthen their main business and diversify their development into engineering, services, etc. Enterprises in the Quality Standards Alliance can share technology, develop together, and enhance competitiveness.
