The largest and longest underground comprehensive pipe gallery under construction in China has been successfully completed in the central urban area of ​​Guangzhou.

The underground comprehensive pipe corridor is a public tunnel built underground in the city and used for the centralized laying of municipal pipelines such as power, communications, radio and television, and water supply.

On May 30, the entire 45.7-kilometer-long Guangzhou underground "main artery" - the Central City Underground Comprehensive Pipe Gallery Project was successfully connected. This is the largest and longest underground comprehensive pipe gallery currently under construction in China, also known as the urban ring pipe gallery. Along Metro Line 11 (Urban Loop Line), it passes through 5 major urban areas including Haizhu, Tianhe, Baiyun, Yuexiu, and Liwan, and connects a total of 18 planned substations, 11 substations, 12 water plants and pressurized pump stations and multiple related communication hubs. It can greatly improve the security and emergency response capabilities of power supply and water supply in the old city, and achieve comprehensive balance and remote dispatch of power supply and water supply in the city.

According to the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, a total of 310 kilometers of pipe corridors have been constructed in Guangzhou, 90 kilometers have been completed and put into use, and 220 kilometers of pipe corridors are under construction. A comprehensive pipe corridor skeleton system with a central ring as the core, several radial lines as extensions, and a combination of trunk lines and branch cables has been initially formed.
